Some of the pieces of the Trump-Russia puzzle are seeming to fit together nicely as more details flood in about Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Kremlin-connected lawyer to get dirt on Hillary Clinton. All thanks to an eyebrow-raising email chain, released by Trump Jr. himself.

In a speech that Trump held on June 7, 2016, first called out by Washington Post reporter Philip Bump, then-candidate Trump announced that he had “all the things that have taken place with the Clintons.” Trump said of his major” news announcement: “I think you’re going to find it very informative and very, very interesting.” He also pondered out loud if the press will want to attend.

This Clinton teaser came just four days after his son, Donald Jr. was contacted by publicist Rob Goldstone, who wanted to set up a meeting with Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya. The meeting was indeed “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump,” which the President claims he had no idea about.
